Lucifuge es una serie de pinturas digitales inspiradas en La Divina Comedia de Dante Alighieri. Relata un viaje desde el centro de la tierra, donde está Lucifer, hasta el más allá.
En estas obras comparto mi visión sobre el infierno, el sufrimiento, el purgatorio y el paraíso a través de paisajes abstractos y surrealistas.
Para realizar estas obras combiné parte de mis pinturas físicas (mayormente óleo sobre lienzo) con procesos digitales creando archivos que cuentan con un mínimo de cien capas.
En cada archivo voy intercalando recortes escaneados de obras físicas con capas en las que pinto digitalmente con pinceles personalizados que emulan materiales y técnicas como el impasto, pintura al óleo, pintura acrílica, tinta y acuarela.
Predominan los colores saturados y en las diferentes capas voy cambiando el modo de fusión, alterando su opacidad, utilizando superposición de formas y aplicando distintas combinaciones permitiendo que las obras adquieran mayor profundidad y espacialidad.
Lucifuge is a series of digital paintings inspired by Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. It relates the story of a poet who travels from the center to the earth, where Lucifer lives, to the afterlife.
In these surreal and abstract artworks I share my own vision about hell, pain, purgatory and paradise.
For the development of these paintings I combined part of my physical paintings ( mainly oil on canvas) with different digital processes creating files which contains at least 100 layers.
In every digital file I merge scanned parts of my physical artworks with layers where I paint with digital tools using customized brushes which replicate techniques and materials such as impasto, oil , acrylic painting and watercolor.
Saturated colors predominate and I use to modify fusion modes, opacity and overlapping shapes by applying different combinations. These way the artworks achieve more depth and spaciality.
